Johnna Herrick-Phelps, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean for Online and Digital Learning at Princeton Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Seminary in 2023, Dr. Herrick-Phelps was the Chief Online Learning Officer for Champlain College Online in Burlington VT. She also held the role of Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at Granite State College, which is part of the University System of New Hampshire for six years. Dr. Herrick-Phelps has served in the field of higher education for over twenty years in both faculty and administrative roles.

In addition to her work in higher education, she spent many years as a principal of JH Phelps & Associates, where she consulted for public and private organizations in the areas of leadership development, executive coaching, change management, and diversity in the workplace.

She earned her doctorate in human and organizational development systems and a master’s degree in human development from Fielding Graduate University. She also has a master’s degree in organizational management and leadership from Springfield College.
